Getting My Flaunt On!

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
Something that I love:
When people put themselves aside & strive to help/inspire others.
Now would be a good time to introduce you to 2 fabulous ladies who do just that!
Lindsay & Emily are hosting a link up called "Flaunt Your Cause" this week and even though I already have posts scheduled, I couldn't pass this up! So yes, that means you get to read 2 posts in one day from me....lucky you ;)
Flaunt Your Cause
I try to support as many organizations/charities as I can. And over the years, I've read/learned about a ton of them! I'm not gonna lie...it was hard for me to narrow it down to just one to share with you guys today. BUT I did it and here it is!
An organization that has been near & near to my heart since high school is To Write Love on Her Arms. They are "a non profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery." via

One of the tag lines of this organization is, "Love is the movement."
Seriously, how incredible is that? I've never dealt with depression or addiction, but I cannot imagine having to deal with something so heavy alone.
TWLOHA beliefs that we were all created to love and to be loved. Their foundation is building relationship with others and just loving on them. COMMUNITY. I am all about all of those things.  TWLOHA was created around a story of a girl named Renee. You can read her story here. Have some tissues prepared.
Reading her story and learning how TWLOHA came to be is always a humbling thing for me. It is such a relief to know that there are still people out there who genuinely care. Who would put their needs/wants aside to make sure that the people around them are taken care of. Who wake up every day wanting to make the world a better place, no matter how hard it it sometimes.

So be encouraged friends. And take the time to encourage others. You may be the only positive part of someone's day. I leave you with this:

And don't forget to visit the link up and read about all of the causes that are being flaunted :)
