Today is the first day of school for many here in Texas and my Facebook and Instagram is filled with these cute Back To School pics, posing with their First Day of School chalkboard sign, cute bento lunches and later today it will be celebration with an after school snack.
I am sending my twins off to 3rd grade this year and we have a couple little traditions of our own. The picture in front of the bricks at home and an after school snack with our friends.
So what's your tradition? Do you meet with friends or family after? Do your kids talk much about their first days of school? I have a trick that will usually get them to open up: a snack and a fun questionnaire that they can fill out themselves or you can fill out for them.
When the kids are taking a sandwich for lunch, they love coming home to warm snacks like Bagel Bites and Delimex taquitos! Bagel Bites are made with real cheese, homemade sauce and have 0 trans fat! Paired with some fruit, it is sure to hold them off until dinner.
In the past I have sat and asked them questions and written answers down on the back of a piece of mail, but this time, I created this printable questionnaire. It can be filled out any time, not just the first day of school and it's a great snapshot of who they are at this moment. You can download it here.
Fill out as they are eating their #AfterSchoolSnacks, then keep in their memory box or use it later to create your own personalized back to school photos.
And here are some coupons for Bagel Bites and Delimex products, thanks to my friends at #CollectiveBias, to help get those conversations going. We all know every little saving helps during back to school time! You can find these items at Walmart in the freezer section, ours were located in the same aisle!
Enjoy those first days back!
