Getting Hitters off Their Back Foot (part 2)

By Meachrm @BaseballBTYard

Back in February I posted a video about how to get batters off their back foot.  If you have not seen that video, click HERE.  After posting the video, a viewer posted a comment asking if tire chocks could be used.  I have to admit that I didn’t know what “tire chocks” were so I Googled them and … Holy Cow!  They look perfect!S408-0030

The next morning I went straight to Walmart and bought two of the kind shown in the photo for under $10.  Since then I have used them with my son’s 9u team multiple times with success.

As I said in the video, if you have a player who is having difficulty generating power and bat speed, it could be that he is not getting his weight off his back foot.  Something like a tire chock forces them to transfer more weight forward into the ball.

Give them a shot! I love them!
