So I'm counting down to just 4 months till my wedding D-day...and for those who have been down this planning route then you know how stressful it can be. To be honest, I'm abit of a emotional-eater and am ashamed to say that I've been indulging in snacks to cope. So I'm beginning to panic because I've only 3.5 months til wedding D-day. Can Healing Touch's repertoire of slimming treatments truly help? I was about to find out.

After a detailed survery that scoured the asepcts of my rather unhealthy lifestyle, I was recommended the Slim Lip Laser treatment due to the short time frame I had till wedding D-day, as well as my low pain threshold. I was happily ushered into a cozy, clean looking room. My therapist took my weigh and further enquirers about my usual diet before offering further advise on how to replace my indulgences with healthier alternatives. I found her quite knowledgeable and her friendly demeanor really put me at ease.

First, a 10-minute AHA fruit acid is slathered over my tummy area. For most spas, a body scrub is used instead but here the AHA fruit acid is used to tone the skin surface and better boost absorption of the slimming ampoules and creams to be used. Even though the form costs THREE times more than a body scrub, this not only helps to save time that you'd need to rinse off  the scrub but also smoothens skin.

Unlike the usual sliming treatment types I've tried, I found the Slim Lipo Laser the most relaxing option of all. As I laid down, I got strapped into a simple binding piece to concentrate the fats in one area.

Next, my therapist attached the multi-diode paddles to my abdomen and sides to direct the lip-laser fat-melting process. Slim Lipo Laser basically uses Diode laser (a new laser technique that uses a new laser wavelength to penetrate the fat cell walls and specifically melts fat). This then helps in releasing trapped water and triglycerides, which in returns shrinks the fat cells to give a significant inch loss.


My thoughts: There is no discomfort at all, just a mild warm sensation as the metal plates start to heat up. Unlike the Candela Syneron machine that was used in my previous slimming treatment review, the Slim Lipo Laser treatment uses a  low level laser light that makes it perfectly safe and painless even for those with sensitive skin types such as myself! The overall procedure lasts about half an hour, and was so relaxing I felt myself nodding off quite a few times....

Once that was done, what remains in the body I'm told, is the released water and toxins “floating”within the body. So my therapist then proceeded to do a brisk 15-minute Manual Lymph Drainagemassage in an effort to help boost the body's natural detoxification flushing process. Enjoyed it butboy did I giggle like a mad cow because it was so ticklish.
Healing Touch has a pretty awesome selection of body scrubs, and I opted for the Rose one but Iwould suggest those with drier or sensitive skin to try the Apple Aloe. Vera one because its has creamier and more moisturizing texture. The Rose scrub was far more grittier so I could feel the briskexfoliation. That said, my skin really did look much brighter and fairer.

Now one thing I was quite uncomfortable with is that they do not provide any form of robes or treatment wear (unlike Aeon which I got a tee and shorts), you are expected to strip down to your lingerie...which made me very uncomfortable. Furthermore, where I had to move to another room to do my body scrub, I am only wrapped with full length body-towel. I dunno, it makes me feel kinda awkward especially when you pass people walking along the corridor. Anyways....I digress.

The results were pretty impressive; I lost a combined 8 cm loss...the most and fastest loss I've gotten since my experiences in slimming treatments. Although I might chalk this to partially the dissipation of water retention, I must say that this has been quite effective for a non-invasive treatment and that I like the fact Lymphatic drainage is formulated. I did not experience any side effects except some thirst. I reckon this might be also suited for those looking into body contouring, which is great for me since my wedding gown is very fitting.
