George Soros Feels Snubbed; Regrets Backing Obama

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

In 2008, billionaire international currency-speculator George Soros hosted one of the first fundraisers for presidential candidate Barack Obama in Soros’ New York loft. (See pic below)

Now, Soros regrets having supported Obama over his 2008 Democratic primary rival Hillary Clinton, not because of policy differences, but because he feels dissed by Obama.

Kristina Wong reports for The Hill, Dec. 31, 2015, that according to an email released Thursday by the State Department, Soros told a close Hillary Clinton ally about his regret.

In a May 2012 email to Hillary, Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden said Soros had made the admission to her (Tanden) during a dinner.

Tanden wrote in her email:

“I told him I worked for you in the primaries and he said he’s been impressed that he can always call/meet with you on an issue of policy and said he hasn’t met with the President [Obama] ever (though I thought he had). He then said he regretted his decision in the primary – he likes to admit mistakes when he makes them and that was one of them. He then extolled his work with you from your time as First Lady on. You probably have heard this all before but on the off chance you haven’t, I thought I should let you know. Thanks again for doing the video!”

According to an August 2012 article in The New Yorker, Soros gave $5 million to help elect Obama in 2008, but later felt snubbed after Obama had been elected. The article said:

Confidants say that, although he still supports Obama, Soros has been disappointed by him, both politically and personally. When Soros wanted to meet with Obama in Washington to discuss global economic problems, Obama’s staff failed to respond. Eventually, they arranged not a White House interview but, rather, a low-profile, private meeting in New York, when the President was in town for other business. Soros found this back-door treatment confounding.

A Soros confident told The New Yorker that Obama had “pissed on him… He [Soros] didn’t want a f-cking thing! He didn’t want a state dinner, or a White House party—he just wanted to be taken seriously.”

What surprises me is why Soros is surprised.

One of the attributes of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder is that they use and manipulate people to advance their own ends. Another attribute is lack of empathy.

Obama, being a narcissist, used Soros to advance his presidential ambitions. Once elected to the White House, Obama no longer had any need for Soros, which accounts for Obama’s ignoring of Soros, interpreted by the latter as disrespect. But Obama had never respected Soros — or any one. A narcissist’s heart has room for only one person: Me, I, and myself.

I just love it when snakes turn on and bite each other. Don’t you? :D
