A few months ago (before I started the 100 day shopping ban!) I picked up these geo patterned pants on sale at the mall at a huge discount. A store in our small, Italian sized, mall was closing that location and was going through a huge inventory liquidation.
I loved them! And I’ve been putting together a few different outfits to style them in this Spring transitional weather that is a little chilly in the evening.
The First Outfit I put together was a white collar shirt under a burgundy leather t-shirt with the only pair of designer heels I own! (Read their story here….yes they have a story!)
In these photos, we had just finished eating dinner at one of the only sushi restaurants in Modena that I will eat at (living in Toronto really spoiled me), and we were walking to digest our food before going home.
I also wore them to the Museum in Modena that is dedicated to Enzo Ferrari, the man behind Ferrari cars. Read about the visit here.
I did a little street style research and came up with this combination. The photos aren’t the best because the Museum was filled with light from projections that made it difficult to take pictures but I looked like this:
I wore them with a blue sweatshirt, grey and blue scarf, blue suede wedge booties (you can see them in another post here) and my Stefanel robe coat (read all about it here).
Geo Patterned Jacquard Trousers
Now, at first glance these pants may seem a little high maintence to style and wear on an everyday basis….but that’s actually not the case.
I’ve learned to style them as though they were jeans and go from there. I can now think of many more ways I would style them….for example:
- With nude pumps (if I owned a pair!)
- With a jean shirt (I have two so I’ll be doing that!)
- With a t-shirt and dark blazer rolling them and adding sneakers.
- With strappy sandals, a tank top and a statement cuff bracelet
- Rolled with yellow espadrillas and a large cropped black t-shirt
I’m also going to make more of an effort to pin patterned pants outfits to my pinterest because there are a LOT of bloggers who do geo pants well.
Although 60s inspired geometric patterned pants are in-style I wouldn’t exactly call them a “trend”, they are more of a secondary style that is a part of a lot of major designer’s collections. A secondary trend means that in 6 months time you may actually still want to wear it so that is a huge plus!!
Options
Here are 4 other pairs that I really like,I’ve tried to include designer labels (with a $500 price tag), or my personal fav the Helene Berman pair at just $47 (on sale!).
