This week GE received honors from two home appliance review publications. GE’s french door refrigerator PFE29PSDSS was chosen as the “Best Refrigerator of the Year” by Reviewed.com. The GE Artistry line of kitchen appliances was also listed as one of the top 100 products by This Old House Magazine.
The Best Refrigerator of 2013
Reviewed.com’s Top Refrigerator for 2013 – The GE GE PFE29PSDSS Profile 28.6 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator
The GE Profile PFE29PSDSS french door refrigerator not only got picked by Reviewed.com, but it was also the #1 selling refrigerator here at Goedeker’s last quarter.
TwinChill evaporators help the freezer and refrigerator maintain their own separate temperatures, while several innovative features in the water dispenser – including hands-free autofill – make this an easy to use, reliable refrigerator.
The GE Cafe CFE29TSDSS french door refrigerator was also picked by the Reviewed.com team as the best french door refrigerator, an honor it shared with the #1 refrigerator, the PFE29PSDSS.
“Behind the doors, the two fridges are equally adept. Well-planned interiors offer plenty of room, and drawers slide smoothly,” write the Reviewed.com editors in the announcement of their decision. “Our lab tests showed phenomenal temperature control over time, and crisper drawers retained the perfect amount of moisture for fresh vegetables.”
“Reviewed.com is a highly respected consumer resource, and we are extremely pleased to be awarded this distinction,” said Brett BeGole, product general manager for GE Appliances. “The Best of the Year Awards are a high honor for us as our innovations, such as the hot water dispenser Café French door refrigerator, are inspired by the real-life needs of consumers.”
GE Artistry Series Named a Best Product of 2013
The Artistry Refrigerator and Range from GE
The GE Artistry line of kitchen appliances makes appliances simple again. The retro-minded modern styling and bare bones basic design makes the Artistry appliances affordable and yet functional and stylish additions to your home.
That initiative to confront design for a younger generation of home buyers (and anyone else who appreciates the simple style) has earned GE more recognition from This Old House Magazine. In the November/December issue, the GE Artistry line will be among the top 100 products for 2013.
“The 2013 This Old House Top 100 is full of products that showcase ingenuity, demonstrate originality, wow us with their functionality, and of course, mark breakthroughs in their categories,” says This Old House Editor Scott Omelianuk.
Last month, lead designer Thomas DeLuna spoke with us at Goedeker’s about the unique design he created for GE.
“Artistry’s color palette; critical touch points, such as the knobs and handles; and the GE badge design are all tailored to communicate affordable style,” said DeLuna. “Knowing that Artistry is meant to be an easy to use, accessible series of appliances, being inspired by products from the past with a modern interpretation seemed natural. I really think this “nod to the past” aesthetic does a great job at unapologetically communicating simplicity and affordability.”
