Fashion Magazine
Yes, fashion is fun. Fashion is fabulous. But what truly magnetizes me to the world of fashion is its ability to transform clothes into instruments of self-expression. Perhaps that's why I'm adamantly against a regimen of black on black uniforms. Sure, the token "it" color of fashion is chic but it's a conforming sartorial pursuit devoid of an individual fashion perspective. That's why if I were to attend Amsterdam Fashion Week, I would shower colors of the rainbow onto the runways of Amsterdam, coordinating outfits that reflect my mood, my thoughts, and my inspirations.
This outfit is a prime example of what I would wear to Amsterdam. It's fun, it's colorful, and it brings a bit of home, the LA sunshine, with me. Bold gem tone colors contrast the conservative "cover it all up" silhouette. A sweater tucked into a silk skirt while the peeking of a lace embroidered collar creates a mix and match of fabrication and textures. It's a happy outfit fitting for an "on cloud nine" fashion adventure in Amsterdam.
Thank you fashionchick for the opportunity to attend Amsterdam Fashion Week. I hope to have the chance to bring and share not just my style but a piece of me to Amsterdam.
