does it really moisturize for 24 hours?
As oily as my skin is, it manages to grow dry patches during the winter. The winter months brings out the worst in my oily skin. My T-Zones becomes even oilier and my forehead gets these yucky dry skin patches. The results are really {and I mean really} bad makeup days. I tried Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel on a whim and fell in love with it. I’m currently on my third jar. It’s lightweight. It’s refreshing. And it absorbs really fast without feeling heavy or greasy.
is it oily gal friendly?
I place my oily gal stamp of approval on Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel. Hold on! Hold on! This doesn’t mean it controls oil. It doesn’t. It just doesn’t make it worst like some moisturizers can. I’d recommend oily gals to apply a super thin layer – just enough to balance out your skin. On the other hand, this product is ideal for combination skin. It adds moisture to dry areas while slightly balancing out the oily areas to give you a neutralized canvas. To help manage my oily skin, I always use it with a primer and an oil-controlling powder.
The verdict.
It’s great. My only regret is not reviewing Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel earlier. It is reasonably priced ($6.99) and a jar could last you up to a month if you use it 2x per day. Since I am super oily, I apply in the mornings before putting on my makeup only. It also helps with a smoother makeup application.
