Garnier Miracle Skin Cream – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

One product I’ve been really impressed with over the past few months is the Garnier Miracle Cream. I first spotted this product online mid last year as a few British beauty bloggers were reviewing the product and had really good things to say but the thing that really sold it to me was seeing it in action on one of those bloggers who has fair skin. In the past, I did have an issue with a Garnier product looking quite orange on my light skin so I wanted to see how this product would work.

This cream is a great mix of a skincare product and a makeup product. The cream itself is white at first but when rubbed into the skin, the micro pigments then adapt to your skin tone. I had absolutely no issue with this product being orange, though it does give my skin a very slight, darker tint but nothing very noticeable.

The Miracle Skin Cream has a light, moisturiser consistency which applies onto the skin very easily and makes it comfortable to wear all day. The light consistency means you dont need much at all for each application and its best applied ‘in upward strokes from the center of your face, moving outwards’ .

Enriched with 7 anti-ageing actives:

LHA – Stimulates cell renewal
Pro-Retinol – Stimulates collagen synthesis
Vitamin C – Brightens skin
Ginger – Anti oxidant
Vitamin B5 – Reinforces hydrolidic barrier
Vitamin B3 – Reduces dark spots
Firming peptides – Stimulates collagen production
SPF 15 – Protects from UV damage

It gives a tinted moisturiser like coverage and it does wonders for the overall appearance of your skin! It gives me a lovely natural glow (the formula contains absolutely no shimmer) and my skin a perfected look with a more even complexion, the appearance of my pores are minimised and my skin just looks better! The formula is not drying at all and doesn’t cling to any dry patches and for my normal – dry skin, it has a lovely, light moisturising element too which leaves my face feeling nice and soft. One thing to note is that it is fragranced but with a pleasant, fresh scent.

This is the perfect product for those who are looking for a light coverage and a very natural look which gives a ‘my skin but better’ finish. It even works well as a primer before a heavier coverage as it visibly improves the skin’s overall texture. The addition of an SPF of 15 is also a great bonus.

The Miracle Skin Cream also claims that ‘in 28 days, wrinkles and imperfections are reduced, complexion is more even and skin is firmer’. It’s always a bit hard to see if makeup products make a difference on my skin as I do regularly swap out my skincare products (which may have an effect) but I do think the overall texture and complexion of my skin has improved as I do wear this product to Uni everyday.

They have also recently released the Garnier Miracle Skin Eye Cream which I am very interested in try out! You can purchase the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Supermarkets and other stockists for $19.99.
