Garden Couture at Dior

By Thehousethatlarsbuilt @houselarsbuilt
Garden couture at Dior Raf Simons debuted his first collection for the house of Dior at last week's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2012 show. He envisioned a magical canvas of flowers within an intimate salon setting to set off his feminine silhouttes. I'd say....ACHIEVED! Each room contains hundreds of thousands of flowers from floor to ceiling: peonies, goldenrods, dahlias, carnations, delphiniums, roses...oh my! The stylist in me is thinking "so much work to do in so little time" and the daughter-of-a-finance-father is thinking "how much is each flower?!"And the artist in me is thinking "now, THAT's how you create magic in fashion." I think this is the perfect blend of all the arts: fashion, set design, interior design, floral design. Dior, hats off for creating magic. You're living out my dream budget. Now, go watch the video and check out Dior's magazine.  Thanks Rubi for the tip!
