Games I Own Now That I Wish I Owned When I Was Younger

As a gamer that is growing older, it is becoming more and more difficult to find time for games that are particularly lengthy. Role-playing games have always been my favorite genre; my bread and butter if you will. Unfortunately, role-playing games have had to take a back seat over the past year due to their length and my devotion to shorter experiences. I start Summer classes tomorrow for college and while these classes are generally easy, I want to work my hardest with these classes. I want to establish a strong work ethic. As a result, most of the games I will be playing will either be played in short bursts with my various video game systems, or will be games with campaigns fewer than 15 hours long. I have a number of awesome titles I hope to play, but I can not play right now because of the limited time I will have. At some point I will play these games when I have more time. But for now, they will sadly sit in my game shelf collecting dust. If I had owned these games when I was younger, I would be the happiest kid in the world. I had so much free time and life was a breeze. These games are titles that I wish i had owned when I was younger. While I could have owned most of these games when i was younger, there were probably reasons why I didn't own these games.      The Metroid Prime Trilogy has been a collection I have wanted for a very long time. Not only is the game hard to find, it has three amazing Metroid games - two of which I have never played. I played Metroid Prime on the Gamecube but never played the second or third games. While all three of these games are not particularly lengthy, it is difficult to play a trilogy that involves backtracking, or exploring world that are unfamiliar. I know this is not fair to such a great series, but it's how I feel since I do not have the time right now to experience this trilogy. metroid-prime-trilogy      The Legend of Zelda has been one of my favorite video game series for all of my life. I've enjoyed numerous titles in the series. Sadly, the three games I want to play the most, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword are all games that happen to be extremely lengthy and full of content. I had Majora's Mask as a kid on the Nintendo 64, but I misplaced it somewhere and never saw it again. Majora's Mask is not too long, but it can be very complicated. I have it on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii, but I feel that Majora's Mask is a game that a player must put consecutive days into to fully get a strong experience. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are both regarded as excellent games and deservedly so. They both are very long games, reaching upwards of 50 hours. A few years go I would be drooling over these games. But now I hate myself because I didn't play these games when I was younger. If I manage to find an open weekend or a few free days within a week, I definitely will try to get into Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, or Skyward Sword. zelda-majoras-mask-11      Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the role-playing games I have ever played. The story is great, the characters are deep, the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard. What could be bad about this game? Well, it's obviously the length. To fully appreciate this game and get everything out of it, the player could be sucked into a 60 to 100 hour long campaign. While most role-playing buffs will love that, someone with limited time will not. I slowly progressed through this game over a six month period. While I loved all of it, I felt bad not having time for such an amazing game. Nonetheless, the experience was one-of-a-kind. With E3 around the corner, and possibly more information about "X" by Monolithsoft, another huge role-playing game could be arriving soon and I'm hoping I will have much more free time and much fewer games to play. 450px-Universe_IGN      What are some games you wish you could have played when you were younger?
