Defenseman Olli Maatta is continuing a rehab program on his upper body injury and is expected to return to the lineup within the next month, Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Jim Rutherford said today.
Mattaa’s rehab program was set back briefly by his bout with the mumps.
Maatta, 20, has not played since December 6 vs. Ottawa. He has one goal and eight assists for nine points in 20 games this season.
Earlier this season he underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his neck."

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled Jeff Zatkoff and Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Jim Rutherford.
Zatkoff saw action in his first NHL game of the season last Saturday at Tampa Bay, stopping 16 of the 17 shots he faced in 37 minutes of relief.
Megna has appeared in nine NHL games with Pittsburgh this year, collecting one assist and 12 penalty minutes.
Both players suited up for WBS in its 3-0 loss to Binghamton last night, with Zatkoff making 37 saves."
