This team is still very mediocre. Dan Bylsma can not motivate this team to the point that it lives up to their potential. Until he goes, I have little faith in this team. For a roster with this talent and scoring power, they fail in so many aspects. It's truly frustrating watching this season play out, even if they are in first in the Metrosexual Division.

IMO, inconsistent is more appropriate than mediocre. It hurts not having Scuderi and Martin in the lineup, but injuries are no excuse. Letang has to perform better and quit the turnover syndrome. I also find that he's been too aggressive on offense. He pinches in too often, which allows the Penguins' D to get caught going back the other way. Though I think some of this falls on Bylsma as you point out. He's got to continue to preach to the team they cannot continue to play up-and-down the ice hockey and not expect to yield goals.
