"Wacha looks to deliver sweep of Pirates

Righties Vance Worley and Michael Wacha will square off Sunday in the finale of a three-game series between the Pirates and Cardinals at Busch Stadium, with both trying to rebound from their previous starts. St. Louis is going for the sweep after walk-off wins in the first two games.
Wacha is coming off his worst start of the season against the Phillies in which he gave up four runs in 5 2/3 innings, but an 11-run night by the Cardinals' offense helped run his record to 4-0. Wacha had been dominant in his first three starts, and he has a 2.42 ERA on the season.
A three-run third spoiled Worley's outing against the Cubs on Monday. Worley has just one quality start out of his first four for the Pirates.
Things to know about this game:
• Day games and Busch Stadium form a good combination for Pirates first baseman Pedro Alvarez: Since the beginning of the 2012 season, he leads all National League players with 37 home runs in day games, and his seven homers in Busch are tied for his second most in a visiting ballpark, behind nine in Miller Park.
• Pirates pitchers have gone 10 straight games without giving up a home run. The Cardinals are tied for 24th in the Majors with just 14 home runs.
• The Cardinals improved to 17-6 with their win on Saturday. Only twice before -- in 1941 and '44 -- have the Cards started 17-6.
• Matt Carpenter's 14 doubles through the first 22 games is second only to the Cubs' Billy Herman (15 in 1936) and the St. Louis Browns' Beau Bell (15 in 1937). Carpenter has had at least one extra-base hit in 15 of the Cardinals' first 23 games this season.

I've been so freaking busy working and trying to hang out with my friends before I move I haven't seen a game all week. Last day off was April 14th.
