Pittsburgh going for the sweep in Phoenix. Would be the Pirates' first ever three game sweep in Arizona. Pirates previously took a two game sweep at Chase Field in 1998. Francisco Liriano also aims for his first win of the season.

"Liriano, Hellickson set for battle of veteran starters
By Tom Singer / MLB.com | 4/26/2015 12:08 AM ET
When Francisco Liriano starts for the Pirates in Sunday's series finale against Arizona, he'll be working off quite a checklist.
Getting a series sweep for the Bucs and his own first victory of the season are on that list, but topping it is yet another personal item: The former American Leaguer has faced 29 of the 30 MLB teams (all but Miami), and has at least one win over all of them except for the D-backs, although this will be only his third career start against them.
Opposing the veteran lefty will be Jeremy Hellickson, who likewise has never beaten Pittsburgh, but has a better excuse for that: This will be the former Tampa Bay righty's first start against the Pirates. Three Bucs have faced him before and two of them -- catcher Chris Stewart and outfielder Corey Hart -- figure to be in Sunday's lineup.
Things to know about this game
• Hart could get a rare start, most likely in right field. Hart's primary role with the Pirates is platooning at first base with Pedro Alvarez -- but with the Bucs having faced only one lefty starter in the season's first 18 games, manager Clint Hurdle has to hunt other opportunities to keep Hart sharp.
• In 2004, Hellickson and Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen were teammates on Team Florida, a high school select team.
• For whatever reason, Liriano has been a better power pitcher on the road with the Pirates. In 174 innings, he has fanned 199, compared to 162 in 167 1/3 innings in PNC Park.
