"Harvey looks to stay hot as Mets face Pirates

What a difference a couple months have made for Matt Harvey. As late spring gave way to summer this season, Harvey was laboring through mediocrity, raising questions about whether he could be as effective post-Tommy John surgery as he was before it.
Nobody is asking those questions anymore.
Ten consecutive starts of three earned runs or fewer have returned Harvey to elite status in the National League. He'll take the mound in this series finale Sunday, facing Jeff Locke and the Wild Card-leading Pirates.
"He's pitching pretty good right now," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "These games become very, very big, and as we know, he loves to pitch those bright-light games."
Harvey, 26, is 11-7 with a 2.61 ERA this season. Locke, 27, is 6-7 with a 4.43 ERA.
Three things you need to know about this game
• Harvey's only other start against Pittsburgh this season was his worst outing of the year. He allowed seven runs in just four innings in that May 23 start, which saw his ERA jump by almost a full run.
Andrew McCutchen and Pedro Alvarez have had the most success of any member of the Pirates against Harvey. They are a combined 5-for-9 with two home runs, two doubles and four RBIs.
• The Mets will probably be without Lucas Duda in the starting lineup, as he is still dealing with a lumbar strain. The back discomfort has kept Duda out of the Mets' lineup since Monday, but he said he should be available to pinch-hit.
