Rumours say that Samsung is fretting because of the amount of sales accumulated by their Galaxy S4. Though the figures are quite decent, the company might have had too much of an expectation from their 2013 flagship model. Now, news have come saying that Korea has indicated that the company might actually accelerate the launch of the Galaxy S5 so as to compensate for unachieved goals. ETNews.com also states that we may finally see the said device before us in a month or less.
Earlier Production of the Galaxy S5
The S4′s announcement took place in March of this year. As for the S5, reports say that its production will start in a month or even earlier unlike its predecessors. And this could actually mean Samsung would be holding a fairly “unpacked” event around February, which makes the S5 ready to be sold in the market first thing in March. This would not be an unprecedented kind of event, though. If you can remember, the S4 was announced even before the S3′s anniversary took place. So basically, it wouldn’t be a really surprising surprise for Samsung users.
The Mobile World Congress
With the rumoured February 2014 launch, a question is raised pertaining to the Mobile World Congress, which is set to begin on the 24th of February. Will Samsung hold they’re so called “unpacked” event on that same day or will they have it before or after the said big event? The S4′s début was two weeks after the MWC closed the doors for 2013. Are they planning to go the same route or are they prepared with a different game plan? We have yet to know.
Another rumor is that there will be different versions of the S5 with one that would have a 16MP camera and a Snapdragon Qualcomm Chip Processor. In a week from now, we should hear more from the Korean company itself to finally confirm these S5 rumours.
