FURLA unveils its new flagship store, the sixth and the largest in Singapore of this Italian luxury lifestyle brand’s. This 1,600-square-feet space houses the World of Furla showcase, christened with the debut of Furla Men’s Fall/Winter 2015 Bags Collection Singapore.
Hosted by Furla CEO Eraldo Poletto, the grand opening cocktail and after-party celebrated the milestone in the brand’s expansion with its sixth store in Singapore, as well as showcased the debut of Furla Men’s bags collection, alongside the Fall/Winter 2015 Women’s collection.
I'm definitely loving the sleek lines and elegant ambience of the flagship store, which drew inspiration from the architectural details of the beautifully restored 18th century Villa in Bologna. Warm and welcoming, I was among the many excited guests to check out their latest collections.
Stepping though the glass doors, I find myself is an elegant, pristine space: imbued with neutral nude hues and pastel tones, accented with soft and warm lighting. The devil is in the details, with understate luxe elements like Italian travertine marble flooring, opalescent glass and brass finishing.
Eyeing quite a clandestine number of pieces to add to my collection..
I am actually pleasantly surprised at the usual slew of dark autumn-y colors are eschewed, and we can look forward to rich jewel tones like Amethyst purples, teals and silvers. I'm really loving the glamorous Diana crossbody chain bags, a dash of rocker edginess to an otherwise ladylike tote.
A lot of familiar famous faces were seen, complete with Furla bag-toting in hand. Some of the night's star-studded sightings included homegrown singers Tay Kewei and Kelly Poon, multitalented host Diana Ser; renowned film-maker Royston Tan; Model Fiona Fussi Tracy Phillips, Mae Tan, Dawn Yang, and more.

More schmoozing continued at the after-party was held at Caffé B, and this stunning visual display featured a specially-designed Furla “Garden Space” that was decked with vibrantly-coloured Metropolis bags at the entrance, as well as a customised edible art installation of colourful and geometric-shaped candies that guests could actually take and consume.
