ShareTweet+1PinStumbleWhatsAppPaneer is a staple in our home. It’s quick to cook and the kids don’t complain about not having any chicken! It’s neutral taste lends itself well to all kinds of dishes, from sandwich to tikka. With it’s rich calcium and protein content, paneer is an excellent food for children. Babies can have paneer after 8 months, and if you’re wondering how to introduce paneer for your little one, here’s a yummy recipe – fruity paneer puree for babies! This is a no cook recipe and is a great way to present the otherwise bland paneer to little kids.
Fruity Paneer Puree for Babies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Banana
- 2 Strawberries
- 2-3 cubes of Paneer
- Whey as required to dilute the puree (you can use drinking water instead)
Method:
1. Wash and hull the strawberries. Chop roughly. Peel and chop the banana.
2. Blend the banana, strawberry pieces, paneer and whey to a smooth puree.
3. Add more whey or water and pulse to adjust the consistency of the puree.
4. Transfer to a bowl and serve immediately.
Be sure to serve the puree right away and not leave it lying around for long. The banana adds both sweetness and a nice creaminess to the puree. The strawberries offer a lovely flavor and go well with the paneer. You can also substitute these with fruits your little one likes. The whey I’ve used is the liquid that separates when you curdle milk to make paneer at home. With homemade paneer and fresh fruits, this is a dish that’s as good as dessert for your baby!
