And the students of College of Arts and Social Sciences have spoken. A new brand of leadership paves its way to serve the students in the said college and LIHOK will be given a chance to grab it's first EC Governor seat. Lewey is the name and EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP is what he promises all of us (well, in his own way).
Prior to the election, I personally interviewed him and ask him about his plans for CASS (listen below). The following are the things he promises, his platform during the campaign: (lifted from his profile)
1) THE QUESTION OF ACCOUNTABILITY - We know this to be the biggest question at CASS-EC right now, so we will not turn a blind eye to this. We can assure you, with the greatest of convictions, that the CASS-EC candidates of Lihok-Astig have not been and never will be involved in any kind of monetary altercation. While the other candidates "promise" of such, we have the track record to go along with it.
2) THE QUESTION OF PRIORITY - The CASS-EC’s role is not solely to organize events; it needs to affect societal change as it has a sizable constituency. A way to realize this is for the EC to hold symposiums and seminars addressing basic societal issues such as the Bangsamoro Question, or at a more local level, Iligan Disaster Preparedness.
3) THE QUESTION OF PREPAREDNESS - How prepared is the EC to win it all during the Palakasan? Next year, we will answer that question with utmost urgency, by creating intracollege varsities, guilds, and groups early on.
4) THE QUESTION OF ORGANIZATION - The EC office has the potential to be a profit center rather than a cost center. We can do this through several reorganization schemes, from changing its physical layout to transforming the culture of those who work inside.
5) THE QUESTION OF DISSEMINATION - We will help tremendously improve the CASSayuran, as well as enhance the integration of Social Media into all our activities. We shall also keep our Bulletin Boards consistently updated, to keep everyone inside CASS involved and aware of everything happening.
Will he keep his promises? or will his promises be broken? Will LIHOK help achieve the objectives of their party and bring across the other side of the river the plans of Mr. Jimoya for the Arachnids? or will they just leave him alone?
Let's
