Hi everyone!
I was sent a bottle of the new Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir to try recently and I really wanted to put it to the test over the course of a couple of weeks to see if I noticed any difference in my hair.
My hair can be a little bit frizzy, particularly at the ends because of the bleach from the Ombré dye that is in it. Although my hair isn't majorly frizzy, it still needs a little bit of TLC to keep it in check now and again and so when this landed on my desk, I was quite excited to get trying it.
The idea is to wash your hair, and while it is damp use a little bit of oil through the midlengths and ends of your hair (try not to go to the roots because it might make your hair slightly greasy or flat - it is an oil afterall!) and then when you blowdry your hair, the frizz is supposed to have eased - see what I did there? play on the name. Oh yeah, I'm clever. Ha!
So the first time I used this, I used it extreeeemely sparingly and so didn't really notice a huge difference to my frizz, in fact the only thing I noticed was the smell of the product which is actually quite nice.
So I vowed to use a tad more the next time I washed my hair to see if there was any real noticeable difference. So two days later, I rewashed my hair and used this a little bit more generously than I had used it before. It took me absolutely aaaages to blow dry my hair despite my hair being shoulder length, and I soon realised the reason was the oil! The oil had moisturised my hair so much that it was taking ages to dry.
Once my hair was eventually dry, the ends of my hair was completely frizz free, I got the straighteners out and applied some heat thinking the heat may make it a tad frizzy but nope - no frizz! I didn't notice any frizz at all thereafter either. not even after having my hair in a top knot because it was greasy. Girls, you know what I mean, the top of the hair is greasy and normally the ends are completely frizzy but nope, mines were still silky smoothe.
The only negative thing I would say is that if you curl your hair the curls at the end don't really hold so well because the oil kind of weighs the hair down I suppose? So I would recommend this oil for if you're planning on having straight hair.
Have you tried this or any of the rest of the new Frizz Ease range?
