Friendsgiving Dinner // Soup & Sandwich Appetizers
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, can you believe it? (I sure am having a hard time comprehending how quickly this year has gone...) This is a great time of year to gather with friends, family, and loved ones; especially around mealtime. I used to be quite the hostess, and while I don't host near as many parties as I used to, I still enjoy being creative and having a few friends over- every now and then. So, today, I decided to share a quick, easy, and adorable appetizer recipe you can take to your next gathering. This is one of my favorite meals, and it works perfectly in this slider/ shooter combo. (bonus- the small size will help with portion control!)
This recipe can be made with any soup- whichever recipe you prefer. My personal favorite, is tomato basil. But for the sandwich, I'm sharing the (easiest) recipe (in the world) that I grew up on. My mom was one for mixing things up... literally... and it's something that my sister's and I still use to this day. I bought my ingredients at Walmart, I knew I could count on them to carry the items I needed.

You will need:
bread
butter
kraft shreds
kraft mayo
In a bowl, stir together 1 cup kraft shreds in the flavor of your choice and 1/4 cup mayo. Spread a small amount of mix between two bread slices then butter the outsides. Toast your sandwich on a griddle until the cheese has melted and the bread is cooked to your liking.
Remove the sandwiches from the griddle and let cool. Cut into small squares and slide onto toothpicks. Fill shot or small glasses with your soup then place the toothpicks across the top of the glass.
That's it! Simple and yet it'll make a statement at your next get together.
