Jason Lives! Everyone’s favorite machete-wielding mass-murder, Jason Voorhees will soon arrive on your gaming console through a kickass horror game titled “The Friday the 13th”.
EGM Now has landed an exclusive report regarding the upcoming The Friday the 13th video game, which is now being developed to be released in October 2015 on “multiple platforms,” featuring elements from the iconic movie series as well as the upcoming Friday the 13th television series.
“Currently in development, Friday the 13th will reportedly be an asymmetrical, co-operative and competitive multiplayer predator/prey horror experience that pits a small group of resourceful survivors against a single player in control of the immortal, relentless slasher icon,” according to EGM.
Sean S. Cunningham, creator of the original film says the official announcement will happen in the coming weeks.
“We have some exciting new ideas for a game that supplies plenty of replay value, while delivering the kinds of thrills and scares that fans of the franchise have come to expect,” Cunningham told EGM.
