Friday’s Fab Find: Wowe Eco-Friendly Toothbrush

I honestly didn’t set out to make saving the planet the theme for November, it just happened. Still, it’s a timely and important theme. And it seems to be getting more so every day. Hopefully, by the time this is published, the Getty Fire will be out and America will have rejoined The Paris Agreement.  But the reality is we don’t have much control over that. But there are things we can do.

For example, recently, I heard about a YouTuber named Mr. Beast who has created a plan to plant 20 million trees that you can participate in.

I have also found something really EASY you can do for the environment; Switch your toothbrush.

Wowe Eco-Friendly Toothbrush

Each year, it’s estimated around 50 million pounds of plastic toothbrushes end up in landfill sites. This plastic can take as long as 1,000 years to decompose. In these years, it leaks contaminants into the surrounding earth, polluting the planet.

So stop brushing your teeth! Just kidding. Do not do that. Definitely do not do that.

Instead, stop using plastic toothbrushes and switch to Wowe Natural Bamboo toothbrushes!

If you are wondering how they are durable, they are solid bamboo and strong. They’ll last a solid 3 to 4 months with regular use, but after that, they should be discarded. Truthfully, you shouldn’t be using your toothbrush for longer than 4 months anyway. Bacteria can build up and bristles break down if you use your toothbrush longer than that.  Toss your toothbrush sooner when you get sick with colds or throat infections. You could reinfect yourself! Wowe eco-friendly toothbrushes are sold in multiples, even numbered, so you know when you need to reorder! These toothbrushes are the perfect companion environmentally sound toothpaste we featured last week from Bite.

Bamboo toothbrushes are just as sanitary as a plastic toothbrush maybe even more sanitary.  Bamboo naturally resists water and is antimicrobial making it difficult for microorganisms to stay on the bamboo toothbrush.

You can toss your bamboo Wowe toothbrushes away after use, they are bio-degradable, but before you ditch them, consider repurposing them. Here are some ideas.

  • Garden markers
  • Mixing paints or glues or as unique paint brushes for kids
  • As fire starters
  • Cleaning computer keyboards, grout, jewelry or your coffee or juice grinder blades
  • Spot remover brush
  • Remove bristles and use to make picture frames, soap dishes or for fun craft projects with the kids
  • Car detailing
  • Cleaning baseboards
  • Cleaning bicycle chains
