Friday’s Fab Find: Maven Women

By Bridgetteraes @BridgetteRaes
Friday’s Fab Find: Maven Women Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

I love have a love/hate with the fashion industry. I love wearing high quality flattering clothes. I hate that the industry seems to find my input irrelevant.

Now I've found a wonderful company that has radical approach to giving women the fashion they want: ASKING them what they want! Maven Women ( website here)

Maven Women

Before an item even appears on their website, Maven Women requests feedback from a diverse group of women. They work with fashion industry veterans to create a design that pairs well with both the rest of your wardrobe and the future products Maven Women will create.

But Maven Women doesn't just talk the talk, its walks the walk. Too often the fashion industry exploits child labor, engages in wildly environmentally unsafe practices and just shows a lack of respect for the people it relies on for it's production. John Oliver has a great clip about that.

Women make up the majority of the workforce in the global garment industry, which has all too often disregarded their rights, safety, value, and voice. Maven Women only works with supply chain partners who are committed to the inherent dignity of all people and demonstrate it by promoting gender equity and women's empowerment.
But now's let's get to the fun part.

The dresses! Currently Maven Woman features two gorgeous dresses that are flattering to almost every body type, feature classic tailoring and extremely high quality stitching. These dresses will last for years and with their classic silhouettes will be in style forever! They are so versatile

So visit Maven Women and keep coming back! The site continues to work with women to find perfect dresses for them. Get shopping by visiting their site here.
