Friday’s Fab Find: AnaOno Intimates

Friday’s Fab Find: AnaOno Intimates"We encounter many challenges during breast cancer treatment. Our underwear drawer shouldn't be one of them"- Dana Donofree, Founder of AnaOno Intimates

There are few things I appreciate more than when a company provides a vital service or product that til now had been ignored. Like Downs Designs, for people and children with Down syndrome, or IZ Adaptive, clothes designed for people in wheelchairs Now I have discovered Ana Ono Intimates, a lingerie line specially geared for women who have survived breast cancer.

After being diagnosed with cancer at age 28, undergoing a bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, Dana Donofree found traditional lingerie no longer fit her. After repeatedly being told "Just wear a sports bra" she realized her years of education in design and fashion meant that she create her own alternatives to an ill fitting sports bra.

AnaOno is designed to help survivors feel attractive while being very comfortable and to always remind them, they are not alone. The soft pretty lacy bras come with matching panties, there are even beautiful hats designed to fully cover a bald head and provide maximum protection. The word is out! Survivors are sexy!

Additionally AnaOno has partnered with Jill's Wish, giving them 10% of the profit from their sales. Jill's Wish provides relief from financial burdens that come from cancer treatment (sadly prescriptions and treatment are just the tip of iceberg when it comes to expenses).
