Can you believe that we’re halfway through the year, and it’s June already? I still can’t seem to fathom that my twenty-fourth birthday is just a few days away. I can’t help but look back at all the places I’ve been, people I’ve met, and things I hadn’t done before. I remember excitedly packing my bags for our Jamaican vacation…oh how I wish I was sailing and watching the sunset over sandy shores, now that would be the best birthday. This week I also had my own eat pray love moment, you know that the scene where Elizabeth is sitting on the floor of her rustic little Italian apartment, reading the newspaper with steamed asparagus and a boiled egg, and she finally experiences the sweetness of doing nothing (dolce far niente) I miss having dinner every night outside, enjoying a glass of wine, if we’re lucky it’s still a bottle of my grandfather’s from Portugal. The summer heat has that effect on me, I just want to enjoy doing nothing, and sometimes you need to do just that. Happy weekend!

Who would’ve thought olive trees in Arizona
I need to go back to Sprouts Market and pick up this bottle of chocolate wine
My new earrings from Zoe boutique made by local Tucson artists
An early birthday present from my roommate, she knows me so well.
Loved my safari inspired look for the office this week
Enjoyed one of my favorite meals, roasted salmon and asparagus tossed with olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon and sage infused squash {typically it’s a baked sweet potato}, on the balcony, with a glass of vino soaking up the last bit of sunshine of the day.
