This week most resorts have seen very welcome dumps of snow and there's more to come over the weekend it seems.
Quantities vary from around 30cms in the French Northern Alps to a metre in the Pyrenees. In some places it's meant that off piste areas are now viable. We'd like to just point you to the off piste snow report on Henry's Avalanche Talk blog - it's a good round up, and and a good reminder that the new snow on top of old snow brings a few risks with it.
