French singer-songwriter Frank Rayberolles makes his guitar sing on his new album In Conversations, a collection of intimate pastoral pop songs. He is his own backing vocalist, which makes his music sounds even more lonesome. Their is sense of grief and loss coming through as he continues his quest for closure.
Being hurt is one of life's great catalysts for art and Rayberolles has put it to good use. Even when a chat turns out to be a one-sided exercise, it can help to get ahead and move on. Whatever happens next, he can always rely on his guitar chops and way with words to make sense of it all.
