Brooklyn’s own Fort Lean is a favorite over here at The Wild Honey Pie. We latched on to these guys after catching their attention-grabbing performance at CMJ in 2011. When the fellas were preparing to release their new LP via Ooh La La Records, we immediately inquired about getting them into one of our favorite Brooklyn studios Douglass Street Records helmed by the talented Myles Rodenhouse.
These two tracks off of the debut LP are extremely infectious. The band masterfully weaves together fuzzy guitars, buoyant pianos and driving bass lines. The vocals are catchy and appealing, thanks to the pipes of front-man Keenan Mitchell.
‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series produced by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we capture footage of our favorite bands as they record alternate studio-quality versions of their songs.
