Former Black Panther Larry Pinkney
Larry Pinkney is a former member of the Black Panther Party, a black revolutionary socialist organization that was active in the United States from 1966 until 1982.
Speaking about Barack Obama with Carl Gallups on 1130 AM WEBY on Dec. 20, 2013, Pinkney said, “I don’t consider him president. He’s fraudulent — pretending to be something he’s not.”
Pinkney was quick to say that by fraudulent, he wasn’t referring to “the nonsense” about Obama’s birth certificate. Rather, Obama is fraudulent because he:
- is a “warmonger”
- a “supporter of the NSA spying on Americans, not just [on people] outside of America.”
- “does not know the definition of truth, Barack Obama does not know what truth means”
- “bamboozles and hoodwinks the people”
Pinkney also says Obama “was not born in the bosom of this people where people struggle all the time,” thereby implying that Obama is not an authentic black American, but instead a privileged black who doesn’t really understand the conditions of black America.
Responding to a caller, Pinkney contrasts Obama from himself — that instead of Pinkney had tried to do, “uniting blacks and whites,” Obama “is doing the job for” the power elite by “dividing us racially.”
