I found out about this tool while searching for a solid free alternative to Buffer because I hated having to limit my scheduling to 10 posts. I loved Buffer, but there’s no way I’m going to pay $10 a month to upgrade my account.
Now, I’m all over KUKU. It’s a brand new social media scheduling tool that combines the simplicity of Buffer with the freedom to schedule as many posts as you like, for the low price of FREE!
Supported Networks
KUKU is still in beta and it currently supports Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and two Russian social networks VK and OK.ru. Reddit and Google+ is on the way.
Channels and Auto-Scheduling
One of the cool features of KUKU is the Channels option, which allows you to put together several social profiles under one group to let you schedule posts for multiple accounts at once.
At the moment, Auto-Scheduling only works for Channels. When you set up your channels you can select different times under preferred time-zones to auto-schedule posts, which can be helpful when you’re targeting audiences from different countries.
Under the Hood
Analytics for KUKU is coming soon. In the meantime, you can add a UTM tag to your social media posts to check status through Google Analytics.
You can shorten links with goo.gl. Although I hope KUKU will add more options, including my favorite link shortner Bit.ly.
Buffer vs KUKU
Buffer’s free plan is so restrictive that it doesn’t allow you to schedule more than 10 posts or connect more than 5 social profiles. Even the paid plan is limited to 12 accounts and 200 scheduled posts.
KUKU lets you schedule as many posts you want. And it even allows you upgrade your account for free by tweeting about KUKU with the hashtag #kukupon which will land you a coupon code to extend your account with 3 to 10 free spots with 1 additional spot for every friend you invite via email.
Right now I’ve got 8 profiles connected to KUKU with additional 6 spots left.
KUKU doesn’t have a paid plan, at least not yet. But once they do, I think KUKU will probably limit these free features for new users. So, you better signup fast if you want to get all these cool Free features.
