From the very first notes, we recognize that Brika is a truly original sound. While she has her own style, she seems to have taken inspiration from women in music that are known for their own special sounds, like Cher and Stevie Nicks. Brika is able to blend a seamless, lighthearted tone with a deep soulful sound that comes from the back of her throat. She writes lyrics that keep you honest and make you think twice, singing, “And I’m sorry I do think of other options/Let’s be real, we’re only holding back while we’re talking.” Simply titled “Options”, this track starts with a straightforward jazz sound and then picks up tempo as it adds in a few harmonies.
