1. It helps me not take things seriously.
I can talk for hours on make-up, I have a pretty solid make-up philosophy and that's nothing about aesthetics. It's the why I do it. It helps me dip into a pretty irritating and enduring insecurity about being beautiful, but pulls me out before I drown in the disappointment and expectations of being beautiful. It makes me giggle. Not laugh, but giggle giddy and shallow.Impermanence at it's easiest to swallow, I spend so much time perfecting something and the minute you stop your skin and the elements are working to break it down and fade- it literally washes off. 2. I love how when I do it well on other people, how it makes them feel. No matter how un-kikay someone is---lipstick, concealer, blush, FALSE LASHES will pull out a small smile, a second look. 3. It's something you can learn and practice Like baking, it comforts me to know that if I do these certain steps----something is produced. Skills! I want to gain skillz!
