Florence and the Machine Share First Song from Upcoming Album [stream]

If you’re like me, and your favorite ginger happens to be Florence Welsh (aka Florence + The Machine), then you should be swaying in your desk chair with your hands in the air as you listen to her new track “What the Water Gave Me”. Or perhaps you’re bowing down? Whatever method of celebration you choose, it’s incredibly necessary as most artists in Florence’s shoes would’ve taken a much different direction in following up the mainstream success of an initial hit like Lungs.

Welsh took a hauntingly beautiful route, even crediting nature and Frieda Kahlo as creative inspiration for the track. If this song is any indication of what the new record will sound like, I’d like to pre-order it now, please.  In the meantime, buy the new single here.
