Floating Points’ classic ‘Love Me Like This’ is more than five years old. It encompasses all of the elements that make a Floating Points production great, tying disparate, often odball elements into one spacey journey that simply shouldn’t sound this right. We have that signature fuzz of bass bubbling away – a warm, modulated synth line – under a hip hop groove, plus a muted guitar twang buttressed by snares that fade from being clear and sharp to subdued and muddied. Wonderful.
