Flamingo Candles - White Tea and Mint.
Flamingo Candle White Tea and Mint  - £12.00
If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, I reckon that you already know I’m a complete and utter candle addict. I think some scent or other is burnt nearly every night, without fail, in my room, and with the addition of a couple of good YouTube videos, it makes for the perfect evening. However, with spring just around the corner, and my supplies running dangerously low after all that burning, I thought that it was about time I started burning some fresher and lighter scents.
Enter Flamingo Candles, the answer to all my candle-addict problems. I’d never heard of them, but after stumbling across them one day, and literally pouring over their selection for hours, I told you I have problems, I finally decided on the latest addition to my collection, White Tea and Mint. The brand is all British, organic and handmade and I really love the cute aesthetic of the jars. At £12, I would put it in the midrange of candle prices, but for the quality of the product inside, and the amount that you get, I would say that it is a pretty good deal.
Because of the high quality of the wax (soybean plus a natural cotton wick) the actual burn of these candles are amazing. Be warned, there is quite a lot of wick to burn down at the beginning (which initially put me off the candle because it just smelt like burning) but after that was all gone you’re left with a lovely clean, fresh scent which is light enough to please everybody, yet strong enough to fill the whole room. It’s the perfect anytime, any-mood type scent, very refreshing and invigorating and whilst the mint may seem like a bit of an odd addition, it makes a nice change from the normal floral or fruit scents of candles.
After loving this one so much, I’m (unfortunately for my bank balance) already lusting after a couple of their scents, namely Pink Lemonade, which I think would make a perfect summer scent.
What spring scents have you been loving recently?
