The lowering of the flags, or the Beating Retreat ceremony at Wagah border near Hussainiwala National Martyrs Memorial, is a daily military practice that the security forces of India (Border Security Force) and Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) have jointly followed since 1959.The drill is characterized by elaborate and rapid dance-like maneuvers, which has been described as "colourful" . It is alternatively a symbol of the two countries' rivalry, as well as brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations. Leaders have sometimes described it as "ugly".(refer to Wikipedia)

「アジアのベルリンの壁」 とも呼ばれる、インド・パキスタン国境のワガ国境では、毎日夕刻になると「我が国旗の降納」と呼ばれる儀礼が行われます。
インドの国境警備隊（Border Security Force; B.S.F.）と、パキスタンのパキスタン・レンジャー（Pakistan Rangers）の兵士による、力強いパレードとともに、パキスタン側の観客席は国威掲揚コールで熱狂の渦に包まれます。
私は、パキスタン側ラホール市内からアプローチしました。
