Keep Them Entertained

Updating your page frequently is the key to interact with your fans and to keep them entertained. Don’t just always post about business stuff, try to mix your promotional stuff with fun and unique posts like funny pictures, videos, inspirational quotes and also ask some fun questions. This will not only help you get more likes, but will also get the attention of the fans.

Scheduling Updates

No one has the time to keep Facebook open all day long just to update the page every 10 minutes. That why you need to sign up to an online social management tool like Hootsuite to schedule posts to update the page automatically over time to time. Don’t worry, it’s free. And, it’ll save your precious time.

Interact and Reply

Once you have enough page likes, people will start to interact with you via comments or messages. They will ask questions and tell you how they feel about your product or business. Always save some time, lets say about 30 minutes per day to reply to these messages. Never let them go unanswered or your fans will think you’ve abandoned them. This will lead to lose fans.

Giveaways

If you come across an extra ticket to a movie or maybe an extra Ebook, then you could use that to attract some fans to your page. Start a giveaway contest and tell your users to share the news as much as they can. This way you will earn the trust of your users, gain more likes for the page and they will stay loyal to your page in anticipation of prizes like this. Then again, don’t scam them. Always keep your promises.

Paid advertising

If you have the cash to burn, Facebook advertising is the easiest way to reach a bigger audience in a very short period of time. Almost all the popular pages on Facebook uses this method to promote their posts and get more likes. Spending a few bucks on this, you could get hundreds of likes overnight, depending on the amount of cash you put into the budget.

Now these are only some simple and basic ways to build a community on Facebook. If you have your own cool methods, please share them in a comment. After all, sharing is caring.
