One of the dichotomies of my personality is that I am actually quite a lazy person. However, that does not mean I don't want to achieve goals in my daily life. In order to do both I have learnt to maximize my time with a few tried and tested life hacks. You have to find ways to reduce the load on your everyday life in order to live your best possible life. In this post I am sharing five life hacks which have helped me:

Don't incessantly check emails:

Unless you work in an industry that requires instant responses and action to emails, limit your email tracking to a couple of times a day. Stopping what you're doing to check every new email can distract you and make you lose focus on the current task. So allot specific times in the day to check and respond to emails - perhaps once when you start work, once before lunch and one before you wrap up for the day.

Carry snacks no matter where you go:
If you wait till you're starving, your body will start tiring due to lack of glucose and productivity will dip. Snacking every couple of hours is not only good for your metabolism, but will also keep your energy levels high, enabling you to work at your optimum. Plus, it will prevent you from bingeing on unhealthy food due to extreme hunger. You cannot rely on finding healthy snacks on-the-go. Better to carry them with you and check to make sure you have enough each morning before you head out.

Buy a portable charger:

It's a pain in the posterior when your phone decides to blink with the annoying sign of a low battery at the precise minute you're supposed to be on your way to keep an appointment. Save yourself some serious heartache by investing in a powerful battery pack for your phone.

Download the FREE App for faster parking:  I remember the days when I had to worry about traffic, and then finding a parking spot and once I was able to conquer the first two missions I still had to keep tabs on my parking meter to avoid a fine. Those were some dark days. It has been a blessing ever since I discovered ParkMobile. No more waiting in line at a parking kiosk, or running to “feed the meter”. Now I can manage the parking meter right from my phone, and also have an option to reserving a spot in a parking garage before a social engagement/meeting. There are more than a million spots and 3,000+ locations all across North America. ParkMobile gives you a smarter way to park when you're on the go. ParkMobile has made life so much easier and is indeed a #SmarterWayToPark.
Spend less time on what you can live without:
Ponder what you're doing that is a waste of time. Maybe it's surfing through your Facebook feed constantly. Or perhaps you're giving that awful TV show too much of your life. Make an effort to do less by carefully choosing which activities you can remove from your life.
Bottom line is that we all have places to be and goals to achieve. If we don't find better ways of doing things, using all the resources we have at our disposals (e.g. delegation, apps, gadgets, etc.) and prioritize we will not be able to maximize our time without burning out.
