Five Reasons Why I Know I Am Going To Be Okay

The act of waiting and trusting in God is a major issue in the Christian single world.  In Proverbs we find that hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes it is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12)  In other words deferment or postponement is hard.  While waiting, our hearts may become sick to the point where we wonder, “Am I going to be okay?  Will I get through this?”

Well, the answer is a definite, “Yes!”  Let these words form and flow from your mouth right now.

Five Reasons Why I Know I Am Going To Be Okay

“I am going to be okay. I will get through this!”

If you get weary or wane in your confidence, here are five reasons why you will be okay…no matter what you are going through.

God said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”  God’s exercise of power is greater than those that mock us, doubt us, or cause us to fear.  If God is for you, He is more than anything that may come against you.

God has never missed an appointment.  God told Abraham that at the appointed time He would return and Sarah shall have a son.  The Lord kept His appointment and according to the time of life, Sarah conceived and gave birth in her old age.  God is never too busy and He is never late.

We have new hope.  Our faith and obedience to God’s Word justifies us.  Because we are born again, made new again, and restored again, we are not without hope.  The love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost so that our hope makes us unashamed. (Romans 5:5)  The problems we face are small when compared to our access to God’s grace.

God provides in the wilderness.  The children of Israel had all they needed to survive the harshness of the wilderness.  Until they reached their promised land, God was their guide.  He provided food, clothing, protection, and His presence.  God’s provision in the wilderness is assurance that we are going to be okay.

This is not our first rodeo.  In other words, this is not my first time waiting for a blessing from God.  I remind myself that I had to trust God before and He kept me safe and delivered me in times of trouble.  We can better keep our composure and maintain our integrity if we have experienced the power of God in our life before.  No matter what is happening in my life today, I remember His blessings from yesterday.

“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” – Jeremiah 17:7 (NLT)

In spite of the highs and lows of life…we will get through this!
