This was our first stay with the Kimpton Hotels and we were mighty impressed with their hospitality. We wanted to be centrally located Seattle and the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in downtown Seattle was right in the middle of all the action. The Hotel Monaco has a welcoming, cozy lobby with a fireplace and several comfy chairs. They have coffee out in the mornings, and they host a wine happy hour in the evenings, which is a nice touch!
Location: The hotel is situated on 4th Avenue which is a good location – within walking distance of the Seattle Library (across the street), Speciality’s Coffee/Cookies (down the hill) and a short walk to Pike Place Market, The Seattle Art Museum and major shopping. Starbucks is on the block and the W Hotel is across the street.
Rooms: Kimpton is known for their quirky decor and this property didn't disappoint either. Our room was natural lit and quite spacious. The bathroom was adequate size and we felt completely
Staff: A special shoutout to everyone at the Front Desk and the restaurant. They were attentive, patience and had answers for whatever queries we might have. They were professional and courteous even during the peak hours.
Amenities: The highlight of my stay was truly the amenities provided. They provide a Yoga mat in every room free of charge, a complimentary bike to use during your stay, Luxury Atelier Bloem bath products to name a few.
Restaurant: We had breakfast at the new restaurant Outliers on the first morning we arrived and we were so happy with the meal that we still talk about it weeks later. Even though we like trying new places during out stay but we decided to go back the next day again because we couldn't get enough of their breakfast menu. Most room rates during the summer time are at the higher end but this property was a good value for money and a great hotel experience.
