My dad has a PhD in fisheries, so Brooklyn-based FISHDOCTOR has a leg up in the fight for my musical adoration simply because of their name. Suppressing this instinct to love the band solely for this reason, I listened their new track “Seasons” and found their surf-pop style to have a value all its own. Upbeat percussion and expansive guitar propel the song’s sweeping melody, while sweetly harmonized vocals pull the song upward, giving it a fragrant, dreamy feel. This is the second song they’ve released in the past two months after “Atlantic”, both of which will be a part of their upcoming album. Roll the windows down for this one and enjoy!
