Assinged to minor league camp: RHP Jameson Taillon, RHP Erik Cordier, IF Matt Hague, IF Anderson Hernandez, OF Darren Ford
Note that "Optioned to Indianapolis" doesn't necessarily mean they'll be playing there this year. It just means that the guy was on the 40 man. I'd expect Strickland and probably Pimentel to end up at Altoona. "Assigned to minor league camp" just means the guy isn't on the 40 man.
The only surprises would probably be Jerry Sands and Clint Robinson being cut so early. They're both pretty much major league ready (or as major league ready as they'll ever be), so you'd think they might hang around longer. Coming in Sands was at least in the conversation about making the team, but the other options have looked good enough that he basically had no chance.
