First One Down Winter Warmer Ale – Wasatch Brew Pub and Brewery

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Park City Utah's Wasatch Brew Pub and Brewery comes their "First One Down Winter Warmer Ale". This beer was dated as enjoy by February 26, 2016 but consumed on April 13th, 2016 so it was not as fresh as it would have been. The beer poured a deep ruby colour with a light brown head. The aroma consists of floral and herbal hops, citrus, malts and earth. The flavour is of earth, bread, caramel, citrus, resin and hops bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 7.1%. This bottle may not have been fresh but it tasted good to me. When it launches for next winter make sure to try this beer out. If you are adventurous and find it still try it now.

Commercial Description: You were first one down. Congrats - you got all that sweet powder. We hope you savored every moment. Because tomorrow's another day. And we're going to beat you to it.

Food pairing as per brewery: Cuisine De Chalet
