First Impressions: Charlotte Tilbury

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
You don't need to be a genius to know that Charlotte Tilbury is one of the mose sought after brands of 2014. Being in the beauty industry, you hear all the buzz from different brands and Charlotte Tilbury seems to be in there with a lot of the other big brands right now so when I got my hands on a few of her products, I thought I would do an honest review on my first impressions.
First Impressions: Charlotte Tilbury I was sent the Light Wonder foundation, the Cheek to Chic in "Love Glow" and The Luxury Palette in "The Sophisticate"
So, let's get started..
Light Wonder Foundation
Whenever I get a new foundation I become like inspector gadget. I am super sceptical of foundations. Why? WHY you ask? Because my skin is so fair that I rely on pale shades of foundations to actually BE pale. The shade I received was 'Fair 1' which is the lightest shade available.
Looking at the product, it looks slightly darker than my skintone which already set alarm bells ringing, but once applied, it really worked into my skin perfectly and the shade matched. The real test was to see if the color would develop over time and it did which is disappointing but it didn't darken too much, maybe just by a half step. Still, I was a little bit disappointed by this.
The added spf made this quite glowy so I needed to set it with some powder but to be honest, I have to set any foundation I wear. I actually really liked the finish this gave which was quite glowy but not oily.
In terms of coverage, this has a medium coverage meaning it covered a multitude of sins without looking cakey which is the IDEAL coverage for me.
The packaging is gorgeous, the bottle is very similar to the Illamasqua packaging, but the lid is rose gold - Sheeeeeesh! Charlotte KNOWS how to appeal to us girls!
Cheek To Chic: Love Glow
Of all the products, I was most excited by this.  The packaging is brown with a rose gold clasp and inner mirror rim. The adrenaline produced just from looking at this product was enough to send me into a frenzy! LOL
The product itself is SO gorgeous.  The blush feels creamy and silky and it blends in beautifully on the cheeks.  There are two colours in the pan, one which is lighter than the other which is great for highlighting. I am in love with this product.
The Luxury Palette "The Sophisticate"
Again, I was practically jittering at this. Such a gorgeous palette. Again, the packaging is a rich chocolate brown with rose gold detailing.
There are four colours in the palette, all of which have a very slight shimmer to them. They all apply creamily and are easily blendable. I found these to be quite highly pigmented aswell which I love because with it being a little bit pricey, it means it will last forever!
My favorite color is the lightest one which is like a bone color and it is perfect for the brow arch and the inner corner of the eyes. Love!
The verdict for me is that I would be really keen to try more products from Charlotte Tilbury. I would love to see a few more shades being released for the foundation and maybe a 'non adapting' formula would be great aswell. All in all, I would spend lots of dosh on buying key pieces from this brand. I can definitely see why it's become so popular!
What do you think of Charlotte Tilbury?
All My Love
