Applications are being accepted to establish a 2-year eligibility list for the classification of entry level Firefighter/Paramedic. It is anticipated that one position will be filled during the term of the list.

General:
Lewis County Fire District 6 is currently recruiting highly trained and motivated individuals with exceptional customer service skills who are interested in becoming a Firefighter/Paramedic with a combination department. Lewis County Fire District 6 serves approximately 7,600 residents with 5 fire stations throughout a 145 square mile service area that surrounds the city of Chehalis. The fire district currently employs 7 career personnel and has numerous community-based volunteers.
Educations/Experience and Special Requirements:
- Current State of Washington or National Registry EMT-P and certified to work in Lewis County by the end of probation.
- A minimum of three years of fire service experience with a paid or volunteer department.
- Must be 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License (an abstract review will be conducted).
- Successful candidate shall meet LEOFF 2 eligibility requirements.
- Must have a current CPAT Certification.
Selection Process:
All applicants must submit legible, clear, concise, and complete information regarding their qualifications for this position. The applicant is required to submit as part of their application packet a current, valid driver’s record report from the Department of Licensing.
