Requirements:
The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. Applicants must have these qualifications to be considered a qualified applicant and to be invited to the testing process:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Firefighter I certification which meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards
The equivalency for Nevada State FFI is another State or International Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) FFI certificate. Wildland FF certificates are not acceptable.
Valid NV Paramedic Certificate/License or National Registry Paramedic Certifications
Current CPR, ACLS, ITLS, and PALS certifications
Graduation from an approved Fire Academy, or 1 (one) years’ full time experience with a paid department, or two years’ experience with a volunteer department.
1 (one) year of full time experience as a paid paramedic with an ALS EMS provider
