REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Be at least 21 years of age;
Be a high school graduate or hold the equivalent (GED);
Possess and maintain a valid state of residence driver’s license;
Possess and maintain a good driving record;
Must be a graduate of the St. Louis County Fire Academy and a Certified State Firefighter I & II;
Must possess and maintain as a condition of continued employment, a valid State of Missouri Paramedic license;
Must possess a current AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification;
Must possess a current AHA Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support Certification;
Must possess a current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification;
Must possess a current Basic Trauma Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support or International Trauma Life Support Certification;
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position as determined by the City’s fitness for duty testing and have a current candidate physical agility test (CPAT) certification;
Must demonstrate the ability to articulate and concisely communicate orally and in writing.
